FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - UTILITY
Provides limited emergency financial assistance to restore water disconnection. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Policy of UCM is to have a co-pay loan that involves the client in the process; therefore, clients are asked to sign a repayment agreement. All monies are dispersed directly to the utility company. The amount of assistance is limited to under $200. Clients needing more than $200 are referred to Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning for assessment and coordination of services if a package is to be raised.
